libncursesw5 software package provides shared libraries for terminal handling (wide character support), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libncursesw5
libncursesw5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libncursesw5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libncursesw5 *
You will get with libncursesw5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
